Description

The Automotive-related industrial world is crossing the frontiers of the new mobility, which include innovative products and technologies and open to new horizons of services. “Mobility Academy Light Edition” courses are offered to participants as individual training events: by linking them together, they can become a customized path to enhance and extend the skills of professionals and technicians to other areas and new forms of technologies and applications.
The Mobility Academy light edition can support and train professionals in the mobility ecosystem to respond to and implement the digital and green transition, for sustainable mobility, in synergy with Spoke 1 NODES activities.

This program is designed, and delivered, as part of the “Lifelong Learning Initiatives” catalog of offerings of the PNRR Ecosystem of Innovation Project “NODES - Digital And Sustainable Northwest.” The subjects covered have been evaluated as capable of producing a considerable impact in terms of the territories and industrial systems intercepted and generates the possibility of increasing the ability to share skills by creating a network of value in the territory.

Today, interface design is no longer simply a matter of displays and buttons but requires design that integrates the user and their needs in a natural and intuitive way. An approach that makes HMI a central component of everyday life.

The course is intended as a narrative that illustrates and examines the founding principles of human-machine interaction as applied to different contexts: from automotive to construction equipment to cobots and smart appliances.

Through real-world case histories and a hands-on approach, participants will learn the fundamentals of interface design, with concrete examples of how HMI can improve products and services. During the course, we will explore technology scenarios, test techniques for redesigning existing interfaces, address the cognitive workload of users in complex interactions, and discuss future prospects for the field.

The course is implemented by CIM4.0 with contributions from:

Macro Topics

Lecture 1. Introduction to Human-Machine Interaction (HMI): a catalog of innovations in key industries

An introduction to the major revolutions in HMI through a catalog of projects that have transformed the way we interact with machines in some key industries

Lesson 2. Anatomy of an HMI - Dismantle and rebuild better.

We will "disassemble" an interface into its components to understand its structure and identify points of improvement. This approach will enable us to understand how each element can be optimized to respond more effectively to user needs. We will examine the main phases of HMI design

Lesson 3. Distracted to whom? Designing attention to survive the world

When the interface is designed to manage user attention and prevent human error

Lesson 4. What future? Visions and challenges in tomorrow's interaction

Key innovation trends in HMI that will shape life in the future, emerging technologies, challenges to be faced, and opportunities arising from them

Trainee’s Profile

Open to all: Citizens, Businesses, P.A., Researchers, Students and Teachers

Objectives

The objectives of the course are to learn the rules of interaction, to know the principles of interface design with attention to technologies but also to the person, as well as to know the potential of future technologies.
