Description

The Automotive-related industrial world is crossing the frontiers of the new mobility, which include innovative products and technologies and open to new horizons of services. “Mobility Academy Light Edition” courses are offered to participants as individual training events: by linking them together, they can become a customized path to enhance and extend the skills of professionals and technicians to other areas and new forms of technologies and applications.
The Mobility Academy light edition can support and train professionals in the mobility ecosystem to respond to and implement the digital and green transition, for sustainable mobility, in synergy with Spoke 1 NODES activities.

This program is designed, and delivered, as part of the “Lifelong Learning Initiatives” catalog of offerings of the PNRR Ecosystem of Innovation Project “NODES - Digital And Sustainable Northwest.” The subjects covered have been evaluated as capable of producing a considerable impact in terms of the territories and industrial systems intercepted and generates the possibility of increasing the ability to share skills by creating a network of value in the territory.

Well-designed products and/or services are capable of integrating all ideational, material and technological qualities within a circular economy context; they also express an aesthetic quality consistent with the design mission, creating a harmonious balance between form and function. Six different experiences will tell about the three main areas of the design process: ideation, design and communication.
The course is produced by CIM4.0 with contributions from:

Macro Topics

Experience 1: Bionics, Natural Structures and Analog Models (Carmelo Di Bartolo)
Exploration of natural structures, materials, mechanisms and aesthetics with the goal of
obtaining creative analog models and innovative solutions for problem solving.

Experience 2: Methodological and Operational Tools for Generating Concept Ideas (Camilla Fecchio)
Overview of the main methods and tools for stimulating creativity and generating innovative ideas, with
the goal of providing operational techniques to be used in a manner consistent with the project's mission.

Experience 3: Incremental and Radical Innovation (Carmelo Di Bartolo)
Analysis of the opportunities offered by incremental and radical innovation in the processes of ideation,
development and communication of products and services.

Experience 4: From Requirements to Form (Roberto Giolito)
Insight into the process that transforms functional, technical, emotional and usability requirements into
innovative designs. A specific focus will be devoted to car design and visions of future mobility.

Experience 5: Advanced Design: interaction between product, service and system (Carmelo Di Bartolo)
Analysis of design methods for advanced products and for building a balanced ecosystem
that integrates artifacts and territory.

Experience 6: Design system: from the spoon to the city (Giulio Ceppi)
Exploration of the design system concept as a tool for ensuring consistency and scalability in
design, from the smallest object to the urban context.
