Sebastiano Lamacchia

He was born in 1971 and earned a five-year degree in Industrial Chemistry.

He worked 15 years at the FIAT Research Center where he developed expertise and experience first as head of the metallography, industrial computed tomography and additive manufacturing laboratories and later as head of the process ergonomics laboratory. On the latter topic, he is the author of several scientific publications and patents.

In 2016, he joined Stellantis in the World Class Manufacturing group as an expert in process ergonomics and workstation optimization. During this time, he acquired new skills in the area of Industry 4.0 enabling technologies (mainly AR/VR, and collaborative robots) and achieved certifications as a process ergonomics applicator and trainer.

In recent years, he has developed and coordinated projects in which the use of motion capture and immersive virtual reality systems are aimed at the design of factory workstations.

Since 2023, strengthened by the experiences gained in previous deployments, it has been making its know-how available at CIM4.0 for manufacturing industries in the area.
