Stefano Firpo

Raised in Turin, 45 years old. Economist who deals with companies, banks and public policies. Firpo first worked for the European Central Bank where he devotes himself to economic research and then for Intesa Sanpaolo where he worked on the implementation of the Basel regulation and supported the top management before and after the merger between Banca Intesa and Sanpaolo IMI. Then he worked for the Ministry of Economic Development where he collaborated with 5 Ministers first as head of technical secretariat and than for 4 years as general manager for industrial policy. Lately he has returned to his real love: corporate finance.
Achievements: Minibonds, corporate incentives reform, national law on startups and innovative SMEs, the Patent Box regime, Italy Destination Report, Finance for Growth Task Force and Industry 4.0 National Plan.
