The Competence Center participated in the 14th edition of A&T, the trade fair dedicated to innovation, skills and 4.0 technologies scheduled for Feb. 12-14, 2020 at the Oval Lingotto in Turin, Italy.

Four thematic areas of “doing” and a corridor of “knowledge.” This is how the CIM4.0 booth is presented, featuring four spaces dedicated to networking, Pilot Lines, Training and the results of the first call: PMTI4.0.

During the fair, representatives from the Ministry of Economic Development, the Piedmont Region and the City of Turin visited CIM’s booth.

In particular, we presented the booth at:

  • The rector of the Polytechnic University of Turin, Guido Saracco
  • Piedmont Region Councillor Andrea Tronzano
  • MISE Undersecretary Gian Paolo Manzella
  • The heads of some Italian DIHs.
  • Managers, presidents and directors of national Competence Centers

12.02 – Opening of the booth

Through the use of augmented reality, the Pilot Lines of CIM4.0 were previewed.

Visitors, journalists and representatives of Italian and local industry, were able to take a real virtual tour to discover the enabling technologies and production areas that characterize the Competence Center.

13.02 – Conference: Competence Centers One Year Later

Representatives of all the National Competence Centers told the general public about their activities, programs and projects in the short, medium and long term, one year after their establishment.
On the occasion, Andrea Bianchi, Director of Industrial Policy Area of Confindustria, stressed the importance of teamwork and cooperation between Competence Center and Digital Innovation Hub.

In closing, MISE Undersecretary Gian Paolo Manzella highlighted the key role of Competence Centers in Italy, for the implementation of the Transition 4.0 Plan, and in Europe, for the Horizon Europe Plan and the structuring of the European_DIH network.

13.02 – A panel discussion devoted to education

CIM4.0 organized a panel discussion titled “The Training Factor in the 4.0 Investment of Italian Manufacturing Enterprises” to present its training offerings by inviting entrepreneurs and training professionals to a public discussion on the topic of training.

The discussion, moderated by Enrico Pisino (CEO) and introduced by Cristina Cibrario (Training Manager) of CIM4.0, was attended by:

14.02 – Automotive and Transportation System Roundtable

Enrico Pisino, CEO of the Competence Center, moderated the panel discussion titled “Automotive and transportation system: what are the opportunities of digitalization for the industrial sector and supply chains.”

The Pilot Lines

Previewed at A&T presented a real virtual tour to discover the Pilot Lines of CIM4.0. We have scheduled guided virtual tours of our Pilot Lines together with our consortium member Illogic.

Notices

The sixteen winning projects of the first call for proposals disbursed by CIM4.0 were displayed within the calls area. The Competence Center team provided initial information regarding the next call.

Innovation 4.0 Award

CIM4.0 was invited to honor the winner of the Innovation 4.0 Award. The first-place team for the Research&University category consisted of Davide Schiena (Reboze) and Nicola Gallo (Leonardo Company) awarded by Enrico Pisino, CEO of CIM4.0
