From May 16-20, a delegation composed of the Rector of the Politecnico di Torino, Prof. Guido Saracco, Eng. Enrico Pisino CEO of Competence Center CIM4.0 and Prof. Anita Tabacco, project manager of the Uzbekistan project, was welcomed in Uzbekistan by the CEO of UzAutosanoat, Shavkat Umurzakov and Jamshid Inoyatkhodjaev, Rector of TTPU – Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent.
The delegation had the opportunity to visit several factories related to the Uzbek industrial group, in Andijan, Fergana and the capital Tashkent.
During the visit, the willingness of UzAutosanoat’s top management to involve the University, in partnership with CIM4.0, in the educational retraining of its executives and production line personnel (a total of about 30,000 employees) emerged, as well as in an ambitious project to introduce professionalizing training in Uzbekistan, in cooperation with a network of universities in the country serving various industrial districts (automobile, textile, oil&gas, mining, food, etc.).
CIM4.0 and PoliTo’s projects in Uzbekistan
In the coming weeks, Politecnico and CIM4.0 will work out a joint proposal to be submitted for the attention of the Governing Bodies, based on the construction of an internal Academy within the industrial group and the declination in the university context of Uzbekistan of the professionalizing degree in Technologies for the Manufacturing Industry already active in the educational offerings of Politecnico di Torino.
