On Wednesday, June 26, 2023, with a round table dedicated to the theme of technological and collaborative innovation, we inaugurated at the Michelin plant a new Hub of the CIM4.0 Competence Center, the first Innovation Lab in the Province of Cuneo. An innovative space that will have the function of providing operational support for manufacturing companies in the area on the digitalization of industrial processes.

The goal of the new Hub

CIM4.0 ‘s new technology lab has a twofold task: to support area Enterprises in their digital and green transition journey and to welcome young people to accompany them in the last mile of their professional training.

The Hub is already in full operation with some use cases already developed involving:

• Internal and external autonomous driving systems,
• Vibrational analysis and predictive maintenance systems for production machinery,
• Machine Learning-based vision systems,
• Robot/Cobot systems for industrial applications,
• Production planning and execution systems.

The Cuneo lab will be closely linked with the Turin office, its pilot lines (Additive Manufacturing, Digital Factory) and will provide direct and simplified access to all our expertise.

We are proud to be able to contribute together with Michelin Italia, Confindustria Cuneo and the Polytechnic University of Turin to the development of the ecosystem, industrial supply chains and the knowledge chain, indispensable ingredients for the competitiveness and sustainable development of an area.
