The CIM4.0 National Competence Center announcesthat Unione Industriali Torino and API Torino have joined as partners. A collaboration that has in fact existed for some time between CIM4.0 and the two leading employer associations is thus strengthened.

Thus, the growth and consolidation of the Competence Center, which is headquartered at the Politecnico di Torino headquarters in Mirafiori, is continuing, a place where innovation is transformed into inspiration and where the most important technologies and the highest level of expertise are made available to companies, to facilitate the digital and ecological transition at many levels.

“The entry of Unione Industriali Torino into the corporate structure of CIM4.0 is the crowning achievement of an important path, which we started together almost five years ago. Starting with the involvement of companies to participate in the ministerial call to date, our Association has strongly supported the Competence Center, a fundamental actor of technology transfer for our territory. The historical moment we are living is characterized by great transformations: companies need to be supported in the technological, energy and digital transition in order to continue to be competitive in global markets. Our official entry into CIM 4.0 responds, therefore, to the needs of our businesses and our community. Turin’s vocation has always been technology, the adoption of innovative solutions applied to industry. Today more than ever, we need to invest in this strength to start growing again. Access to cutting-edge research, the training of new skills, and the development of virtuous partnerships from a supply chain perspective will be a very important boost to innovation, which is especially necessary for our small and medium-sized enterprises.”, commented Turin Industrial Union President Giorgio Marsiaj.

“Joining CIM4.0 formalizes a collaboration that began as early as 2018 with the preparation of the Competence Center’s application file, a collaboration that has strengthened over time, with the common goal of helping SMEs meet technological and market challenges, which are increasingly global. Through CIM4.0, small and medium-sized enterprises can also access new skills and frontier technological solutions, thus benefiting from a tool that is a strong boost to innovation, development and adoption of new technological and digital solutions. The very recent approval by the European Commission of the EXPAND (Extended Piedmont and Aosta valley Network for Digitalization) project-which has CIM4.0 as the lead partner and API Torino in the partner cohort-witnesses how strategic and important it is for our territory to continue with the sharing of projects aimed at gathering the needs of small and medium-sized enterprises as well as supporting them in the digital and ecological transition, focusing on innovation, technology transfer, training, investment support and networking ” – commented API Turin President Fabrizio Cellino.

“Having within our membership two new members of the caliber of Unione Industriali Torino and API Torino means being able to become for the entire industrial sector in Piedmont a central point of reference in the processes of technological transformation and dissemination of the 4.0 culture of enterprises. The entry of these important employer organizations further strengthens the industrious vocation of CIM4.0, which in its first three years of activity has been able to work concretely and synergistically both at the national level and on the Piedmont territory and not least in the European field,” said Competence Center President Luca Iuliano.
